At Gaelic & Garlic Travels we like Ireland as much as we do Italy. Kathy, Jim's wife, is of Irish descent and has dual citizenship with the Emerald Isle. Jim & Kathy have made numerous trips to Ireland over the years and have an itimate knowledge of many of the special places that they've visited. Although they are partial to Western Ireland (Kathy's family is from County Mayo), they are also familiar with the Dublin area.
Because of their many trips, Jim & Kathy are in a unique position to share with you places of interest in Dublin (such as Trinity College, Grafton, Street, Temople Bar, to name a few). They can also suggest places to stay and events to attend (like pub crawls). Kathy & Jim are familiar with some really cool places to visit on your trip: Newgrange, Trim Castle, Powerscourt (in the east), The Rock of Cashel, Waterford & Kilkinney Castle, Waterford Crystal, Blarney Castle, Cork City (in the south), the Ring of Kerry with Muckross House, Ross Castle, Killarney, the Dingle Peninsula, the Skelligs, (in the southwwest), and the Cliffs of Moher, Dromoland & Ashford Caste, the Burren, Connemara (in the west). These are just a few of the attractions that await you in Ireland. Let us help you get there by giving us a call now.
We have listed a few of our favorite suppliers and their specials on this page so that you can see what they have to offer. If you don't see what you like, we can design a trip especially for you. Whether is just for siteseeing (Ireland is beautiful, and yes, it is as green as you've heard, with a castle or abbey ruin around the next corner); or you're searching for your irish heritage, we can help you. Just give us a call.
Last year we partnered with McNamara's Irish Restaurant and Pub in Nashville to send 26 people on a group trip to Ireland. So if you have a group (or want to join a group) that's planning to go to Ireland, we can help with that as well.
We will be adding some of our favorite pictures of our past trips to Ireland so check back for a taste of what we're talking about.
